Pagan Bloodmoon

Status: Alive

Date Of Birth: 15th Of Spring 2964RH

Pagan's parents dropped him off as a baby at a Monastery in Telma for reasons unknown. While it was typically taboo for a Tiefling to be accepted into the church, a monk named Polkin accepted the baby with open arms. However, since the church still wasn’t happy and wouldn’t fully accept him, they named him Pagan Bloodmoon, to symbolize to the high officials that he is a cursed being to them. He grew up learning the ways of the church and Polkin secretly made him his apprentice over time. The longer Pagan worked for the church, the more he realized how corrupt and hypocritical it was. Tithes were filling the high priests pockets, minor misdemeanors were being met with harsh punishment, and lies were being spread about how the church planned to help the poor. Polkin recognized the churches crimes, but told Pagan that even though the church is corrupt, their is much good them two can do regardless.

One day, Pagan decided to steal from the church offerings, and go out at night and give to those in need while in disguise. The commoners referred to this unknown hero as The Saint of Shadows. He was eventually caught by the church, which sentenced him to death, calling his “thieving” the highest form of blaspheme against god.

Polkin broke him out the night before the execution, and many of the poor who were helped by the Saint of Shadows helped him escape the town under the cover of darkness. No place to go, he wandered aimlessly through the land until he found a small town that was constantly being ravaged by bandits. Using the knowledge Polkin bestowed him as a healer, he would help those injured in the raids, praying to his deity that the bandits would stop.

After months of watching townsfolk murdered, and their injuries becoming too severe for his treatment, he prayed to whatever god would hear him to end this bloodshed once and for all.

He heard a deep voice that said “go child. I lend you my power. Crush the bandits, protect the people.”

Pagan felt new powers grow in him, and traveled to the bandit camp and wiped them all out single-handedly. Upon the last bandits death, he felt the power slip away, feeling just a kernel of it left inside. The voice returned and said “I have gifted you a grain of my power. Go forth, use it wisely.”

Pagan would wander for a time before he would once more hear the voice guiding him.

"Take the gift I’ve given you, seek passage to Ilyran Thalas, protect those who cannot help themselves."

Feeling compelled to follow it's instructions Pagan traveled to the port town of Lamperós Ílios. It was here that Pagan would find passage on a ship called the Gilded Coffer, a small caravel led by captain Alexandos. Pagan would meet Icarus and Kuppo, fellow ship members, and The Gilded Coffer would take off in an attempt to pass by The Raven Order blockade. While the voyage was initially smooth Alexandos' plan would fall through and the naval officer who would intercept them would find Alexandos' true cargo, a sleeping orc girl. Captured immediately Pagan now awaits his fate at Camp Omega, a Raven Order military prison on the border of the Turu Jungle
