The Alquimia Academy

The Alquimia Academy is the most coveted learning institution in Terra. When combined with the satellite schools in Meraviglia and Kyoten the academy sees roughly 50,000 applicants every year but only accepts about 3,000 of them every year, a typical graduating class sees an average of 200 students however. The academy actually predates the founding of the country. In 246RH Ricardo Alquimia would be given a large grant from Alexander Hawk whom received his own magical teachings from Ricardo. Ricardo would use the money to found the academy on the western coast of Lluvia Pesada. After attracting his first year of students Ricardo quickly realized that he would require a steady income that was larger than the tuition costs he charged to run the academy he truly wanted. While having a discussion with one of his students who had mentioned her desire to one day work in the Economic Office Of The Sultan in her homeland of Kumdan Tepe Ricardo was presented the solution to his problem. He worked with that student to found the academy's social services wing. Dedicated to teaching the theory surrounding a number of subjects including city planning, healthy taxation and how to prevent crime this wing would become instrumental to the counties birth. Ricardo would carve out his borders on Lluvia Pesada and use the social services wing to act as the government of the country. By collecting the tax of the citizens of Alquimia Ricardo would be able to rapidly grow his academy and turn it into the facilities he always dreamed of. By the year 997RH Alquimia would officially control all the land the academy felt it needed leaving the untouched swamp land to Telma and the difficult to traverse Leven Forest to Grote Boosen. In 1356RH a large number of meteors would crash land in the middle of the country. The Headmaster at the time would declare a new mission for the students and staff of the Academy. They would turn their attention to the stars and begin to focus their efforts on exploring space.
