The Republic Of The Raven Order
History
Founded in 376RH the Kingdom of Taube encompassed the entirety of the landmass known as Ruhm. Ruled by an emperor eventually the government would be overthrown by the populist movement known as The Order Of The Raven. Changing their countries name to The Republic Of The Raven Order they would begin to hold official elections and promised to provide more power to the people.
Following The King's Uprising the entire country fell apart unable to maintain power following the complete destruction of Wunderstadt by Zerrus' Irin Bombs.
Geography
After the Reactor Ein meltdown the country was sapped of its life force. Plants withered out and weaker animals died almost instantly. The northern half of the country is mostly dead fields and barren trees, the southern half of the country is snowy hills and mountains. Many residents live in the industrial capital city of Wunderstadt.
Politics
The Raven Order is led by 99 elected officials. Two hundred some people run for office every year and the 99 people with the most votes make the cut. Michael Wise was the founder of The Raven Order and has maintained his position as the most supported representative in the country. In recent years The Raven Order has appointed an war time leader who was given rule over military operations until the Ilyran Thalas campaign has ended. Michael Wise was unsurprisingly voted into the position.
Economy
Refusing to be beholden to any trade deals The Republic Of The Raven Order has become completely independent and actively outlaws foreign trade. Many citizens work as laborers in factories or in hunter groups.
Demographic And Culture
The Republic is made up entirely of humans who have placed a great emphasis pursuing technological advances. Highly suspicious of outsiders. The only other race to ever reside in The Republic were the Tieflings who were immediately removed in a bloody ethnic cleansing two years after The Raven Order took power.
Religion
Many citizens of The Raven Republic look to Schmiede for guidance. They worship him and he is often associated with Raven Republic images of factories and forges. Most Raven Republic art depicts Schmiede side by side with regular human citizens working in the factories. Considered the god of fire and forge.
